An abandoned mining station that formerly mined bat guano out of the grand canyon. Seriously. I have no idea why.

Perhaps the entire Grand Canyon would be full of bat guano if they didn't mine it out? They'd have to rename it to "The Not So Grand Canyon" or "The Less Grand Canyon" if it were full of guano. actually...(with a pretentious tone)...I believe bat guano can be used as an effective fuel source. kinda like in the old times they used to burn dried cow manure for heat in the winter when the wood supply was low.
